At Global Alms Incorporated, we’re privileged to work alongside some of the most dedicated and hardworking individuals you could ever meet. One of those people is Winnie, also known as Nan Win Win. Winnie is a key part of our team in Mae Sot, Thailand, and her contributions to our mission are nothing short of extraordinary.
It’s clear to anyone who works with her that she truly believes in the potential of every person she meets.

Leading with Strength and Commitment
Winnie began her journey with us as an Operations Liaison Officer and has grown into her role as Business & Training Manager, consistently bringing focus, compassion, and reliability that positively impacts everyone she works with. She’s deeply committed to ensuring that people, especially women and children, have the tools they need to feel secure in their daily lives.
She leads many of our self-defense training programs, including the recent three-day Third Party Protection Course we ran at Baiti International School. In these sessions, Winnie doesn’t just teach reality based self defence techniques and systems - she helps teachers, caregivers, and students build the confidence and situational awareness they need to stay safe and protect others. Winnie's leadership in this area is a cornerstone of our work.

Advocating for Survivors
One of the most impactful parts of Winnie’s role is her tireless advocacy for survivors of gender-based violence and human trafficking. Many of the women and children we work with have endured unimaginable trauma, including forced labor, sexual exploitation, and trafficking for forced criminality.
Winnie works closely with survivors, listening to their stories, standing by them in moments of crisis, and helping them navigate the long journey toward healing and justice. She often supports them through legal processes, medical appointments, and counseling sessions, always offering a steady, respectful presence.
She understands the complexities survivors face, especially when dealing with cross-border legal systems or stigma in their own communities. Winnie is a trusted voice for those who have been silenced, and her advocacy has helped many rebuild their lives with dignity and strength.

Investing in Long-Term Change
Winnie also plays a crucial role in our broader educational and empowerment programs. Whether it’s advocating for , helping women develop sustainable livelihoods, or educating communities about their rights, Winnie shows up every day ready to help others build a more secure and independent future.
Her presence in these programs makes a lasting impact. She’s dependable, relatable, and incredibly thoughtful in the way she supports those we serve. It’s clear to anyone who works with her that she truly believes in the potential of every person she meets.

A Role Model for Us All
What we admire most about Winnie is her steady and unwavering approach to life. Often behind the camera, Winnie doesn’t seek the spotlight, but her efforts shine through in everything she does. Winnie is approachable, kind-hearted, and incredibly hardworking. Her work ethic sets an example for all of us, and her influence extends far beyond the classroom or training space.
Through her work, Winnie brings our mission to life; protecting the vulnerable, preparing individuals for the future, and pursuing lasting change. She shows us just how powerful one person’s dedication can be.
