Empowering Communities: New Guidelines to Support Survivors of Forced Criminality

We are proud to announce the publication of “Guidelines for Repatriation and Reintegration: Supporting Survivors of Forced Criminality”, a comprehensive four-volume manual developed by the Asia Freedom Network. This vital resource is designed to equip civil society organisations, practitioners, and local communities in repatriated countries with the tools necessary to support the reintegration of survivors of forced criminality.

Why This Manual Matters

Survivors of forced criminality often return to their home countries bearing not only the trauma of exploitation but also legal, social, and cultural barriers. Reintegration is a complex and deeply personal process. These guidelines offer a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and community-based framework to support individuals on that journey—helping communities provide the care and dignity survivors deserve.
